David Leeming

David Leeming is the author of James Baldwin: A Biography, and Amazing Grace: A Life of Beauford Delaney. His many books on mythology focus on the role of myth in shaping the vision and identity of cultures and communities. From early 1963 until mid-1967, Leeming worked for James Baldwin as his secretary/assistant. Leeming is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Connecticut.
